St Patrick's Day Dawn Parade

Long before the daytime festivities, Dingle marks St Patrick's Day in the dark. Led by Dingle's Fife and Drum Band, the dawn parade sends fifes and drums through the streets before sunrise on 17 March, with thousands of locals and visitors lining the route carrying Irish flags.

It is a living tradition that goes back well over a century. Both Firestation House and Seascape Terrace sit close to the area the parade has long been rooted in.

Written by the Dingle Stays team, who live on and manage homes in Dingle.
